Handep: Jurnal Sejarah dan Budaya published the printed edition for the first time in December 2017, and e-journal published since Volume 2 No.2 June 2019. Starting Volume 3 No.2 in 2020, Handep: Jurnal Sejarah dan Budaya made some changes: redesigning the script and color of the page header to change the layout; adding the logo of “Tut Wuri Handayani” and the institution name (Balai Pelestarian Nilai Budaya Kalimantan Barat) on the top left, and; using two section editors for reviewing the manuscript. Since January 2020, the manuscript must go through a technical check (it is to check the conformity of the manuscript with the template) by the first section editor; and a substantive examination by the second section editor. Since Volume 5 No.2, Handep: Jurnal Sejarah dan Budaya has a new editor in chief; and managing editor in the editorial team. Handep: Jurnal Sejarah dan Budaya only uses one section editor in the review process for efficiency and effectiveness, and require the author to fill out and submit the author statement along with the manuscript.
